Yes! Wait times at local Hospital Emergency Rooms can be as long as 8-10 hours, but many of the same services are available at FirstCall such as xrays, sutures, splints, breathing treatments, EKGs, labwork, COVID testing, flu testing, RSV testing, strep testing, STI testing, pregnancy testing, blood tests and more.
We offer all of our services to the public regardless of insurance status. Payment plans are available. If you are uninsured, you will not be denied care for an acute need if you have the inability to pay up front. We are the only area Urgent Care that will see uninsured patients and offer discounts for payment at time of service, but will happily set up a payment plan for services rendered if you cannot pay today.
In partnership with the HoCo Department of Fire and Rescue Services, FirstCall is now a part of the Maryland approved Alternative Destination Program. If paramedics determine that your acute issue meets the protocols outlined within the program, they can now offer you the ability to be seen at FirstCall, usually in a fraction of the time you will spend at the ER.
Yes! We offer telemedicine services for many urgent care issues. You can begin your visit online by texting "CARE" to (410)397-7575.
Many insurance plans have one copayment for Primary Care, and a higher copayment for Urgent Care Services. If you are a Primary Care patient of Centennial Medical Group but need to be seen for an acute issue at FirstCall Medical Center, you will pay the lower PCP copay. Not a Centennial PCP patient yet? No worries! You can register as a PCP patient at your Urgent Care visit.

Our Urgent Care facilities are overseen by a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician and we have a comprehensive suite of services to handle almost any acute care need. We are also different in that our financial policies are very flexible. We are now able to see uninsured patients in lieu of them visiting the ER for non-life-threatening needs without the requirement of payment at the time of service.
We love our patients, so feel free to walk in during normal business hours or start your visit virtually by texting "CARE" to (410)397-7575.
